The Post About Finding Forever Families: Adoption

I'm all about pulling some heartstrings today...

Heart Gallery Alabama
A 6-year-old little boy who found his forever home this year.

This weekend marks the 10th anniversary of National Adoption Day, a day of celebration of adoptive families and an opportunity for courts to open their doors and finalize the adoptions of children from foster care.

Tomorrow, more than 4,500 children who were without a family will now have a place to call home forever.

If you or someone you know is interested in learning more about adoption, you can visit Heart Gallery Alabama which highlights the children available not only in my great state, but can link you to children legally free for adoption across the country.

"There are no unwanted children, only unfound families."

  1. Heart Gallery is a great organization. I donated a photography package for their auction last year. Being an adoptive mom myself I love it when I can give back to organizations with adoption as their heart.

  2. A: Yay for your heart for Heart Gallery - and kids needing a forever home!

  3. Go Jamie! thanks for the plug! Today our REDO on a TPR hearing for Steven happened and we are cautiously optimistic that the order will be signed today after 2 very long years of waiting so that we can proceed with finalization. Thanks for what you do to help in finding families for kids who need it. Steven and Jason LOVE camp!

  4. OF: I'm so excited to hear about Steven and your family getting that much closer to permanency! Camp loves Jason and Steven too!

  5. Yay! We're in the middle of adopting 2 sisters from foster care. It's so worth the process. :) I look forward to posting our family photo in March when the adoption is final.

  6. S: Congratulations! What a wonderful addition to your Thanksgiving!
