The Post About TV Shows With An Expiration Date

I set up season pass timers on my TiVo for all my favorite shows.

I set up one-time timers for those new shows that I'm giving a chance.

And then there's the saddest TiVo procedure.

I had no choice. Sometimes you have to cut your losses and run.

1. Jon & Kate Plus 8: Because they went crazy. And not in a good Kardashian way.
2. The Biggest Loser: Because when I watch it, I feel like the biggest loser. And not in a good way.
3. NCIS: Because Tony and Ziva never kissed. Wait, what? This show is about crime?
4. Fringe: Because Peter and Olivia never kissed. This show is about paranomal junk? Huh.
---and the hardest habit to break--
5. House: Gregory House - I really love you. But I think we need some space. It's not you, it's me. I hope we can still be friends.

Have any shows moved off your must-see list this year?

  1. I think I need more explanation regarding House. It's so dang good this season!

  2. "House" is only good this year because they brought back the original doctors from wherever they went. My personal show favorite that has bit the dust this year is "How I Met Your Mother". So tell us already!

  3. You have lost your ever-lovin' mind. House rules.

  4. Biggest Loser is the ONLY show I watch every week. I can't believe you bailed on that one.

Most weeks it inspires and even teaches me. Some weeks it makes me feel good about how I look in comparison (don't judge me ... just being honest). Then there are the weeks where I want to crawl through the TV and slap Tracey. Oh ... wait ... that's every week.

  5. I'm definitely with you on Jon and Kate. They lost me back in the spring. It used to make me happy, but now it's just sad. I can't watch those sweet kids anymore without feeling sad. :(

  6. I've parted ways with Project Runway. I just wasn't enjoying it as much as I used to and had too many new shows, like Castle, Glee (I love it so much!) and Modern Family that I enjoy more.

  7. This year I dumped all things CSI and Ghost Whisperer. There were just too many other things on that were more DVR worthy. And I finally admitted to myself that I wasn't watching Ghost Whisperer for the a story. I was just watching because Ms. Hewitt is a "great actress". I'm still loving House, maybe now more than ever.
