Each weekend, I post a readable, a watchable, and a listenable of which I'm fond. You can choose what happens next. Earlier volumes can be found here.
Read
I ordered The Daily Show's newest book Earth as soon as the "Add to Cart" button went live. I might be jumping the gun on this recommendation because truthfully I'm only halfway to the end, but so far, so hilarious. It's a guide for aliens who might need a handbook on our species. And read English. Sense of humor required.
Watch
I cut out of work early on Friday afternoon and went straight to the popcorn counter and then straight to a seat to watch this movie, The Social Network. It really is as good as everyone is saying it is. I already had a huge WestWingAFewGoodMen crush on screenwriter Aaron Sorkin, so I knew the dialogue would be quick AND witted. And just in case you're wondering, it's actually not about Facebook.
Listen
Sara Bareilles' first album Little Voice wrecked me. The perfect album for pints of Ben & Jerry's and fetal positions. Her new album, Kaleidoscope Heart, is just as good, but without quite as much personal devastation. My favorite songs include Uncharted, Gonna Get Over You and Basketcase. The last includes this great bridge:
Won't somebody come on in and tug at my seams?
Oh, send your armies in of robbers and thieves
To steal the state I'm in. I don't want it anymore.
Recommending Disclaimer: I don't suggest anything because I get it free or because I have some sort of illicit relationship with a publisher or director or songwriter. I save all of those questionable dealings for the company that makes Snickers.
P.S. We have a winner!

She won for following me on Twitter but let's take a gander at her TV habits:
Well I would have said my 2 faves but they are gone; Lost, 24 so I guess I'll say: Fringe!
My heart longs for Lost too Barb! Email me at jamiesrabbits@gmail.com to collect your Netflix bounty!
