I like to keep you posted on my accomplishments.
Because I know how much you like reading about me.
I made these for my Mom because she asked. And since she birthed me and still buys me stuff, I complied. Recipe inspired by Foodspiration.
I made these for my coworker because she asked. And since I bully her into doing menial tasks for me, I complied. Recipe inspired by Kevin & Amanda.
I made these for me because I'm worth it.
Technically, God made these and my mother pruned them 6 months ago so they'd look this good, but my name's on the deed of land so I take official credit.
What about you? What have you made this week? Or what has someone else made and you took credit?

Note: The blue-haired garden pests have already made a play for those hydrangeas.

I don't make things. I start making things, so I guess that's something. But I'm very impressed at the baking skills. Mine would be a huge mess!
ReplyDeleteYou're too kind, but please know that those flower cupcakes started out like this: http://instagram.heroku.com/users/jamiesrabbits#p83928827
ReplyDeleteYour baking skills amaze me (as does your photography of said baking skills).
ReplyDeleteI made a ribbon wreath and now have bruises on my fingers from pushing in all the straight pins...haha!
Stop it. I saw your ribbon wreath which I will link now: http://alabamaslackermama.blogspot.com/2011/05/i-actually-finished-project.html
ReplyDeleteAnd holy gravy that was a lot of work. But so adorable.
Those cupcakes are absolutely adorable! :-) You clever thing, you. :-)
ReplyDelete{blushing} You could have protected your valuables with the fatty cushiony goodness.
ReplyDeleteAny post that has cupcakes get's a thumbs up from me!!! This week I "helped" my students make really cool ball paintings where they where supposed to roll a ball covered in paint on a piece of paper, however their arms where too short to really hold onto the box, and not quite strong enough to move it around. It was fun though.
ReplyDeleteIs that a brownie with an oreo in it???? Oh dear. I think I found something to do with the kids later today.
ReplyDeleteHmmm...I've done a bit of knitting this week. Working on a scarf for a friend. I haven't wanted to knit much because of the heat, but I really want to finish this up FINALLY, so that's been my main thing.
I made a poopee. Poopee is Bavarian for Purchase Order.
ReplyDeleteYou cannot beat an Orea playing the part of an "easter egg" in your desserts. Until you wrote that I had never thought of the hobby of knitting being weather-related, but I would have a comeapart if yarn was anywhere near me right now. So it makes sense.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you translated for us.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the deliciousness!!!
ReplyDeleteBizarre Coincidence: I saw your brownie/oreo/chocolate chip creations yesterday on Twitter, then last night at small group, my friend Nikki (Who I'd be surprised if you DIDN'T know her, since she's in the same circle of my friends that you seem to know all of) made a very similar creation - oreos encapsulated in chocolate chip cookies. They were deliciously wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to visualize that art project and all I see is messy kids with paint on their arms :-)
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome mystery coworker.
ReplyDeleteUmm...I'll be searching that recipe out as well. Need almost weekly payola for work.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous cupcakes and hydrangeas.
ReplyDeleteI made taco bowls with Mexican salad and two kids very happy on Wednesday since I picked out M&M holders that look like Transformers and are personal fans.
Is that an Oreo stuffed cookie? A cookie in a cookie? Genius.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite tweet was a about a conversation between me and my wife.
"I just told my wife that writing my blog was making me funnier. She laughed at that."
The taco bowl is always the best part. Is this a personal fan that shoots out M&Ms? Because that I would buy for every room in the house.
ReplyDeleteThen your tweet was true!
ReplyDeleteI guess about the most fun thing I've been making this week would be wedding plans.... I'm getting married! (But it's a secret, so don't tell anyone!) ;)
ReplyDeleteShut up. That's kinda awesome. More than awesome. But not AS awesome as the crock pot I'll buy you... Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteIcing is something I have yet to figure out so I am just amazed with your cupcakes. I bet they taste amazing!
ReplyDeleteThey DID taste quite yummy, but good news - the "icing" is marshmallows cut in half and dipped in sanding sugar. Whoever thought of that first was brilliant!
